Paper works great with fountain pens. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Light strong paper, takes ink well. *by S***R on October 14, 2025* Paper is kind of "between" Tomoe River and Midori in texture. I enjoy writing on it. Takes both gel and fountain pen inks well; I haven't used with pencil. Kind of an off-white color. Photos are with Mr. Pen fountain pen with Hongdian sky blue and a Writech felt-tip in a light brown color, from one of their kits. I personally like the perforations and have not had any pages come loose on their own; they do detach pretty easily if you fold/crease along the perforations and then tug, so this could be either a selling point or a problem, depending on how rough you are with your notebooks and how often you want to detach pages. In addition to using this notebook "straight," I sometimes detach individual sheets to use as "tip-ins" for my Hobonichi Cousin when I have more to say than will fit on a single day's page. The texture is close enough not to be jarring and the sheet size is exact; I haven't measured the grid size, but it's a closer match for my Cousin than Midori's.
