It works great! I wish I had purchased it years ago. I can now keep my hands on what I am doing instead of having to reach for the on/off switch on the drill press. To use the foot switch, I just plug the drill press' electric plug into the outlet on the back of the plug on the cord that comes with the foot switch, then plug that cord into the wall outlet. The drill press' power switch is left in the on position. When I step on the foot switch the drill starts to run, and when I take my foot off of the switch the drill stops. The cord is more than sufficiently long for this purpose. The switch is solid, made of metal, not plastic and flimsy like some other foot switches.
