Review: The Crafty Crafter: Great print quality on front and back - This paper is easy to use. It’s clear which side is the “right” size (1st picture). I printed on both sides however, and I personally prefer the backside because it has more structure (2nd picture, left canvas, right paper). The colors are very vibrant, more so than on standard printer paper (3rd picture, left canvas, right paper and 4th picture comparison front vs back). I have an older hp 7525 photosmart printer and cheap Kingjet ink cartridges. It still works amazing! I am printing on those canvas papers to make book covers. I used the “hp premium presentation paper, matte” setting with “best” quality setting.

**Q: Can you paint over a printed image using transparent oil paint (e.g. Marshall's Oil)? Do you recommend using a fixative?**
A: I’m curious whether it could be printed on, gessoed and then oil painted. Or would sizing and grounds be recommended? I’m certainly not advanced enough for the latter, but I could do the former.

**Q: Does the backing peal off so I can use the canvas fabric for sewing?**
A: It doesn’t have a backing. It had a canvas feel on one side and the other side is smooth. I would think you could use it for sewing.

**Q: Can you sew with this?**
A: This canvas is quite thick and stiff and athough you can sew onto it, it will not be easy.  NOTE! that this is an artists canvas designed for pictures for the wall.  You cannot use it for other applications

**Q: What color is the canvas paper?  I have another that is off white and i’d like a true white.  Thanks in advance!**
A: This is a real canvas and not paper.  It is almost pure white on the printing side and slightly creamy on the uncoated, back side.

This paper is easy to use. It’s clear which side is the “right” size (1st picture).
