The 2nd time, I bought the 8oz jar and shared it with my daughter. The 3rd time, I just bought the 4 lb bottle. I mix this with Noxema. You can mix the crystals with whatever cleanser you like. I recently had a cast removed from my leg after 5 weeks. You could imagine (and it's currently winter) the dry, dead skin. I mixed the crystals with peppermint soap and scrubbed my leg. About 75% of the dead skin was gone . If you need a more mild scrub, use less crystals, and of course if you like a more intense scrub, use more crystals. I do find that you get a better scrub on a dry face. Be sure to use a washcloth to wipe your face really well, or you may have crystals left on your face.
