Polytar is based on the coal tar ingredient, which reduces the itching and acts as a mild antiseptic. Also acts as an agent queratoltíco breaks, this is, keratin. The Keratin is a protein that form part of the structure of the skin and can cause bulge in the skin when there is excess. Agents queratolíticos, as the coal tar, therefore, help to reduce the excess of tightening, bulge and the resequedad of the leather. All products in the range Polytar contain tar. Directions 1. Wet your hair. 2. Apply the shampoo to your scalp. 3. Gently massage, covering all affected areas. 4. Leave on for a short time (as per package instructions). 5. Rinse thoroughly. Firstly, so little is needed to get a decent lather. I tend to wash it into my scalp whilst in the shower first, then wash the rest of my body. That allows it to stay on the head and I imagine that will be beneficial, rather than a quick wash on and off. Depending on how severed my head is itching, or having a number of spots, I will vary using this from once a week to about three times when it is bad. It did take the more regular use about a month before all the spots and the itching reduced significantly. Two issues I have noted......You really need to appreciate the smell of the coal tar based shampoo, it is strong and it can be noticeable after rinsing. The cost, it is expensive, but I counter that somewhat by only using the minimum that I need to manage my condition. Thanks.** A: It rather depends on how dry your hair is! Generally I use conditioner. **Q: Can I please ask why this item is more expensive with my prime account?** A: Because it's more difficult to buy through a chemist. **Q: Does it say on the label whether it is cruelty free?** A: No. I have checked the box, bottle and leaflet.
