I had read some of the reviews about the corners of these mats curling before I purchased the mat, but I used mines to cover a cheap ikea desk so I was happy to use double sided sticky tape to secure my mat in place. However, I appreciate that if you have a solid wood or varnished desk then you're probably not going to want to use double sided tape on it. Overall I am very pleased with the look and quality of the mat. It almost covers my desktop and has given my desk a complete revamp. It's much nicer looking down at the bright beige than the black acrylic cover I had before. The leather has a grain to it, so it looks like (and feels like) expensive leather.
