However, from what I've read, excessive firmness is common for pillows like this.Review #2: The seller notified me and said they've "recently devolved a much softer version of the cool gel pillow." He also graciously offered to send me another at no charge. I accepted his offer.I am eager to see how the new pillow feels. If the pillow suits me I will keep it and pay for it. Why else would you go looking for this thing? The gel layer stays cool unless you have a hot head. Even then, just move around a bit and you are set. Only complaint about this pillow is that it is relatively short, but that's not the pillows fault.
