On dark hair it really won't show at all. **Q: is there a way to make it stay in longer?** A: yes, add cream peroxide into the dye. That will turn the dye into a demi permanent dye. But...when you do that, you have to time how long it is left in as you can damage your hair if you leave it in too long. the peroxide will open the cuticle for deposit inside the hair. find a cream peroxide and mix with the dye and then, follow the directions of that cream peroxide. If it's 10 minutes, then 10 minutes, etc. Also, you have to test how much to put in as you dilute the color if you put too much. Just try a few tablespoons to a bottle...see if that improves your results. FUEL THE ARMY (R) **Q: Can it go over faded teal blue hair?** A: I don't see why not. It's a turquoise color, so it should cover it nicely. I used it to cover mine when the blue faded out of the color and left my hair an ugly green color, and this brought it right back to the pretty turquoise I'd had. **Q: How long does it take to come out of blonde hair?** A: Depends on how porous your hair is, and you take care of it while it's colored. If you're trying to KEEP the color, colder showers or just washing your hair separately from your shower all together in as cold as you can handle water with a super gentle shampoo(baby works best). If you're trying to get RID of it, a harsher shampoo wash (something like head&shoulders) will really pull and fade the color. You can also "bleach wash" (this involves using some hair bleach and shampoo mixed together so its a softer more gentle bleach) to get rid of the color all together. This color in particular fades to a turquoise/green color after about two weeks, less if you wash every day.Hopefully that answered tour question. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Stains horribly, but a good color nonetheless *by A***L on Reviewed in the United States on January 26, 2011* I LOVE this wonderful blue-green color, it reminds me of blue cotton candy and makes me smile with good memories of eating the sugary stuff when I was little. This dye works better than Manic Panic because it comes out exactly like it promises it will. The color is awesome, though would be better on bleached hair than on non. However, this will stain your bathtub, especially if you have an acrylic tub liner (like what bath-fitter puts in). I didn't mess mine up too bad, just a few tiny droplets on the floor of the tub that will come out with soap and hot water, but its a lot better to just avoid the whole mess by probably laying down plastic or something in case of stray drops of dye. I usuallu mix an eensy bit of Blue Mayhem into it or streak a little Blue Mayhem for low-lights through the Fishbowl dye.I wash my hair every day which you aren't supposed to do with demi-permanent veggie dyes like these, but the Fishbowl color still looks very pretty 1-2 weeks later. If I put conditioner on the colored part BEFORE my shower and again after shampoo I find the color stays even longer. Same for if I put some of the dye in my conditioner.I find this color doesn't run much. The only downside is it has a dirty chlorine-green tone when it fades out a lot that takes much longer to turn silver. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars First time with this product. *by S***A on Reviewed in the United States on March 21, 2013* This is the first time I use Special Effects. I might have overestimated all the reviews I read before purchasing. I did like the color but it was not at all what I was expecting. The formula was quite thick for my experience. I did however see a very nice color when I used it with conditioner. (Some people recommended I do that next time). After a few days it kinda went from a dark turquoise to green. I don't really like the green but it doesn't look as bad as other green's Iv'e seen before. What I can say is that this stuff doesn't stain as much as other dye's I have used before. I still have about half the bottle left.
