It sets the temperature in your house. There are no schedules to get accidentally set that need the owners manual to cancel. It won’t override your temperature setting, none of the complexities that take over if someone pushes the wrong button. Life is good and you can see the temperature on the larger display. If you have the correct wires from your furnace it can be used without batteries.
