You would have to drill the rivets out to be able to remove the led panel and put something else there like an adhesive led strip, which you would have to wire yourself. This light box would be most ideal for taking pictures of really small items such as cups, utensils and toddler size shoes. It comes with a strip of top lights which lights up okay. Overall the top lightning is fair but I think picture quality wound be a lot better if side lights was included with the box. I ended up using more lights that I set up on the side to get a good quality picture.
