Review: Simply the best - I have only just received this large beautiful pastry/dough board from the US. It arrived within 4 days of ordering. Excellent. I’m just starting to oil it to protect what I hope to be an item that will last me years. It is probably the best board I am likely to own. Very strong and large. I have looked for a large board for ages as I’m fed up with mess ending up on the kitchen worktop because the cutting boards are just not big enough. I won’t be using this beauty though for fresh meat or fish as the manufacturer recommends that this may not be a good idea. It’s expensive but in my view it is worth it because it will likely last for years and be passed down to others. I’ve spent far more collectively on other chopping boards that are not up to the job. This is a buy once item!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does anybody have a problem with high-hydration bread dough sticking?**
A: I agree with Chef Ron. Oil your board with a neutral oil. It's wonderful for high hydration doughs, almost any doughs, except ones that need a damp or dry board.

**Q: Is the lip on this board long enough to be stable on a bullnose edge countertop?**
A: I don't think there would be a problem. The lip is 1.5" h x 26" l. Overall length of the board is 28", overhanging if you will an inch on each side of the lip. With the size and weight of the board I don't see an issue.

**Q: Has anyone used this for pasta? Does the oil coating it comes with interfere with rolling out the dough?**
A: I have been using this board for pasta and bread making and have found no problem what so ever. I treat it with the recommended oil to maintain the integrity of the board.

**Q: What are the maintenance instructions for this board, both for first time use and thereafter, please?**
A: I treated mine 3 times before I ever used it. Then after use, wipe it off and put on another light coat of oil.
