This speaker requires a break-in period. Basically what that means it won't sound as good as it can until you've logged about 20 hours of moderate to higher volume music playing through it to loosen up the drivers. When I first got this unit, it seemed like I was getting a lot of bass distortion, after playing for awhile, some of that distortion cleared up. The unit is very well made and a deal for the $30 price. Compared to another unit I purchased the Meidong 3119 also on Amazon, which was a larger speaker and cost $70 (I had paid $50 during a lightning deal), this APTOYU speaker beats the Meidong HANDS DOWN! Remember this is a $30 speaker, so to compare it against a $120-$200 Bose soundlink is unfair, but at $30 the APTOYU will beat most bluetooth speakers costing twice as much. I use it with an echo dot and it works great. Connection is solid. I wish there was some sort of EQ (whether it be through the speaker or through the dot). At low to mid volumes the speaker sounds best because the bass is compensated, when the volume gets cranked though, bass heavy songs will distort. The speaker should be designed to cut back on bass compensation as volume increases, this way avoiding distortion at higher volumes. This is a high quality product at a great price point. If the dimensions work for you, you won't find a better speaker at this price.

Got this for my dad for Christmas as his first venture into BT speaker world. I was pretty skeptical since I hadn't heard of this brand before. I own quite a few BT speakers myself and this one sounds reeeeaaally good for the price point. It actually rivals some of my more expensive (90-120$) speakers from a big name companies. Really crisp sound, gets pretty loud without any distortion. The only real difference between this and some of my more expensive ones is lack of options to change tone settings, and not even all of the pricier ones come with those options. Really pleased with this purchase, may buy another one for myself. Definitely recommend.

The sound is OK for the price, I wasn’t expecting much. But the end of the USB charger port that goes into the speaker won’t stay in. I had to keep putting it in constantly until finally it wouldn’t work at all. Just spent $11 on a new charger and found out it’s not the charger - it’s the speaker. Apparently the charger port is damaged, after 2 months!

I have been buying some cheaper bluetooth speakers for my kids lately and I am really impressed with this speaker. You can tell by the weight of this speaker that it is a quality unit. I was really surprised by the sound quality... it's room filling sound. I own several bluetooth speakers from the jbl clip, soundlink mini, to the soundlink revolve plus. This speaker would probably fall between the soundlink mini and the soundlink revolv plus... thats amazing if you ask me.. this is a 30 dollar speaker and its coming really close to higher end speakers. Only cons are its not waterproof and wish it had a memory card slot. Other than that its a great speaker with amazing price, sound, and battery life... I still cant believe its only 30 dollars as of writing this review.. maybe an introductory price for early adopters. If the battery lasts over the years, this will truly be an amazing find.

I purchased this with high hopes, given the other reviews, but could not have been more disappointed. The instructions were definitely written by a non-native English speaker. There are numerous typos, incorrect word usages, and wrong tenses. It makes reading even a short amount of information a real chore. That said, for the price I don't mind a bit of inconvenience. What I do mind is getting a Bluetooth radio that plays static over everything. I did some research on this, and found that some AUX jack outputs bypass audio cards and can result in this... so I tried three different devices in the recommended audio outputs, as well as using the bluetooth input (which didn't work at all). There was a part of me that said, It only $30 bucks... no big deal, right? But for the amount of time I spent screwing around with this thing, I should have just spent $60 and gotten something American-made. Oh, and the cords are so short that I couldn't even get them to reach from the audio output on the back of my computer to the top of my desk. Other than that, it really is a very nice looking and feeling paper weight that is not worth the trouble of returning. Now I get to pay to have it hauled away on trash day, so I'm regretting that luxurious heavy feel it has.

This product came on time and I really like this sturdy speaker with rich sound quality. The speaker size is about 8.5”x2.8”x2.3” and definitely is small and easy to grab by one hand. I thought this speaker won’t produce very good quality sound due to the speaker size, but, I was wrong! I am really impressed with the sound quality, especially the ample bass output.Overall, easy to pair with cellphone or other Bluetooth devices and the price is very attractive. Definitely, will recommend to friends or people who are seeking this similar product.
