## Description

Liquitex offers the broadest range of acrylic mediums to inspire creativity at every stage of the painting process. Liquitex Gel Mediums add body to thinner paint for impasto techniques as well as extending color volume and adding transparency. Gels tend to dry slower than thinner paint films, allowing for more workable time. Gel mediums can modify acrylic paints in a variety of ways and since they contain acrylic resins, tend to improve adhesion and durability. Liquitex gel mediums can add texture enhance color and increase transparency within your work Liquitex Modeling Paste Gel Painting Medium is a marble paste, made of marble dust and 100% polymer emulsion. Used to build heavy textures on rigid supports and create three-dimensional forms. Dries to the hardness of stone, and can be sanded or carved when thoroughly dry. Can be handled like clay, if the top of the container is removed and some of the water is allowed to slowly evaporate, until it reaches a clay-like consistency. Adheres to any non-oily absorbent surface. APPLICATIONS: Apply with different tools (i.e palette knife, trowel, paint brush, or cake decorating tips) to produce different effects. To prevent shrinkage cracks (mud cracking) dry slowly by covering loosely with plastic wrap. Apply less than 1/4" thick. Mix with acrylic colors to produce a colored tinted paste. When dry, Liquitex Acrylic Modeling Paste may be painted with acrylic or oil colors. SCULPTURAL: Apply in thin layers, allowing each layer to dry before applying next layer. If cracks appear, allow to dry and fill in with additional thin layer of Acrylic Modeling Paste. Rigid support - Use straight from container. **Q: Is this what I should use to transfer a photo to cloth?**
A: Yes. If you laser print your photo onto the shiny side of the a label’s backing paper (you have to peel off and discard/use elsewhere the actual label) you can just just peel it off after drying instead of the water and rub method!

**Q: Description states, "Usually ships within 2 to 4 months". I'm hoping that is an error because I was just about to order this.**
A: It depends on seller. If you want to order this with current seller which lead time to ships is 2-4 month, try to contact and confirm with them. It might be an error like you said. Or you might try to order this with another seller with less lead time to ship. The 99 Give Store usually ships this item within 3-4 business days.

**Q: I used this to create textures for my painting and it just shrank and flattened. I thought this was suppose to give texture and high peaks. How come?**
A: Firstly, the product will flatten out on a flat surface as it dries - this is an unavoidable effect of gravity. "High peaks" must be carefully sculpted and then reshaped while drying - consider drying your piece upside down. Let gravity do its work. Secondly, this product is designed to be used with other Liquitex acrylic paints - if you're mixing it with another type of paint, an unfavorable chemical reaction may be affecting your desired result. The same holds true if you are applying it over a painted surface which has dried. Third, you could consider adding a stiffening agent, such as quick setting acrylic adhesive, to your mixture. This will force the gel to "set up" quickly and stiffen. Experiment with a little bit of material first.

**Q: After I transfer a photo, can I use this on top as a finish or is it just for the transfer process?**
A: You use it as a top coat, it dries clear and works as a seal

I have recently learned about using gel medium. It works great for collage work I have done and as a top cost in a cross-hatch pattern over acrylic paint - then topped it off with varnish for several of my pieces.
