Review: Amazing magnetic mics - The sound on these mics are amazing!! The only downside is if you want to clip them somewhere it has to be on minimal material since they’re magnetic, rather than the standard spring clip. But cannot fault the sound! Review: Don't even question getting these, they might be cheap, but they're mighty! - Truly amazing, that's what they are. For the money, you really will have no complaints at all. They sound amazing - ex-Sound Engineer and producer here - they really do, and unless you're using them for some high quality recordings that you really feel needs the best, then these really will do 95% of jobs with aplomb. They are absolutely good enough, and if you're recording with your phone then these are perfect. The first job they will be doing for me is probably the most important recording session of my life, recording my toddler singing at her pre-school! They're nice and tiny, and as long as I can get her to not want to play with it constantly, then I don't doubt that I'm going to cherish this recording for the rest of my life. One tip, don't be like me, I ripped them out the box and didn't bother reading anything. I plugged them in to charge, and nothing. It turns out there's a tiny piece of plastic protecting the charging strip and I completely missed this. Whoops! My only real critisim at this point is the level control of the mics, in the app it's just a little rudimentary offering you steps of changes rather than a smooth transition from quiet to loud. It's a minor issue, as I'm not sure I'll be able to get it quiet enough for my over enthusiastic toddler, but time will tell. Love the fact that you can also turn the LED off on the mic too via the app, that's a lovely addition as I thought I might have to stick some gaffer tape over it. The only downside is if you want to clip them somewhere it has to be on minimal material since they’re magnetic, rather than the standard spring clip. But cannot fault the sound! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Don't even question getting these, they might be cheap, but they're mighty! *by D***O on 11 December 2025* Truly amazing, that's what they are. For the money, you really will have no complaints at all. They sound amazing - ex-Sound Engineer and producer here - they really do, and unless you're using them for some high quality recordings that you really feel needs the best, then these really will do 95% of jobs with aplomb. They are absolutely good enough, and if you're recording with your phone then these are perfect. The first job they will be doing for me is probably the most important recording session of my life, recording my toddler singing at her pre-school! They're nice and tiny, and as long as I can get her to not want to play with it constantly, then I don't doubt that I'm going to cherish this recording for the rest of my life. One tip, don't be like me, I ripped them out the box and didn't bother reading anything. I plugged them in to charge, and nothing. It turns out there's a tiny piece of plastic protecting the charging strip and I completely missed this. Whoops! My only real critisim at this point is the level control of the mics, in the app it's just a little rudimentary offering you steps of changes rather than a smooth transition from quiet to loud. It's a minor issue, as I'm not sure I'll be able to get it quiet enough for my over enthusiastic toddler, but time will tell. Love the fact that you can also turn the LED off on the mic too via the app, that's a lovely addition as I thought I might have to stick some gaffer tape over it.
