It was released on November 5, 2002. The album contained two newly recorded tracks, "Electrical Storm" and "The Hands That Built America". The album also included "new mixes" of several songs, as well the tracks "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me" (which was released as a single in 1995 but had not previously been included on a U2 album) and "Miss Sarajevo" (also released as a single in 1995). Pressed on two 180G vinyl LP’s. Review: A Clever Collection - Great New Mixes and Tracks - This collection largely summarizes U2s last ten years. The limited edition is a must have by the fans of u2. The booklet has great photos and is fun to look over and over again. One wishes to have a poster of each picture. The first disc is simply great. No single artist on the face of this earth can top that disc. The new track Electrical Storm is great, as usual. The Hands That Built America, althought it feels a bit weird to listen for the first few times, is a good song. The new mix of Gone is far better than its album version and feels like a new song. Discotheque's New mix is also great, expect the "bum-che" oart at the end was omitted and it is weird to listen Bono just shout "Discotheque." Numb's new mix is also better than its album version. I would argue if the new Staring At the Sun is better than the album version. The new mix is more POP, maybe the way intended, but I am glad to have heard the POP album version. The B-Sides disc is one wild ride. It is hard to get used to the songs at first, but this disc surely represents what U2 has been trying to do in the last decade. It is filled with electronic music and techno mixes of the tracks. One thing is, it is good techno rather than lousy techno. Happiness is a warm Gun, Salome, Dirt Day, Summer Rain, Lady with the Spinning Head and Your Blue Room feat. Adam Clayton are the highlights of this disc. If God will send his angles and Lemon remixes are good. Other remixes just offer different approaches to the songs. It is a matter of taste, they are likeable but on the other hand hateable. The DVD bonus is a goodie. The history mix is very fun to watch over and over again. The Please video is almost a cover up for not including the song in the audio discs... If nothing else this disc only makes you want to buy the upcoming DVD of the Best of 1990 - 2000. Over all, this is a great disc to own. If you are not a fan I suggest the single disc version.
