There is a slight movement if they’re touched or bumped, but there is no way these stands will tip over, because the base is pretty heavy. These stands are made of quality materials, it looks like heavy duty steel. The surround speakers lock into place and are held firmly on the stands. I chose these stands because I didn’t want to place the speakers on the end tables, where they would move around, not be at the correct height and have the speaker cables showing. The speakers and stands look great in our living room and provide the quality theatre experience we expected. Our sound system is the Soundbar 700, Bass Module 700 and the 120 watt Surround Speakers. There is no plate to slide on to the speaker.** A: The stand comes with a mounting kit just follow the easy instructions it comes with, plus it even comes with some grooves on the pole to hide your wire in because the invisible 300’s do have power wire’s you have to run to an outlet for each speaker. **Q: Will these work with the latest soundtouch 520 speakers ? The speaker only has the sliding mechanism at the back.** A: Great question. The UFS-20 Series II Universal Floor Stands will definitely work with the speakers that come with our SoundTouch 520 system. **Q: Can I use these with the original cinemate?** A: Great question.
