It runs at standard USB2.0 speeds (which is maximum for the DSLR body I use) and has more than enough bandwidth to handle a 1080p stream from the camera to the computer directly. I have not had any dropped connections like I did from other cables, and it fits the DSLR port snugly with minimal movement.
