It will weaken the bond. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredibly Strong Bond With HDPE *by M***T on 4 October 2024* Using it to glue endcap to NDS channel drain. NDS said the plastic is HDPE, high density polyethylene, and recommended contact cement. I tried contact contact cement and PVC and neither worked. Contact cement was tacky but definitely not strong. PVC did not adhere and flaked off. This glue has 3 min work time during which the glue remains pliable. Glue mixture has consistency of yellow mustard and will fill 1/16" - 1/8" gap. It dries after 3-4 hours and is very strong. I can't pull it apart! I wiped contacting surfaces clean before application but no further treatment beyond that (e.g., sanding, flame). The only downside is that it needs a special applicator gun, which includes the necessary 10:1 pistons to get the right mix. You also need a 10:1 nozzle. Listen to what the other reviewer said.
