The design is great,. You can only remove the phone in a manner that will not break the charging tab off and that alone is worth the price of this case. I can plug in my speaker or headphones with no problems. It does charge slower than other battery cases I have had but that is not a problem. My one complaint is the case is slippery hard plastic. It is as slippery as the Iphone without a case.
