**Q: Is it really 3.3 pounds?**
A: The cymbal stand & snare stand are 3.3 lbs.. but the Hi-hat stand is almost 5 lbs which is only a couple pounds lighter than my single-braced Tama stand (my lightest steel hi-hat stand) ...although this Yamaha aluminum HHS hi-hat stand is probably half the weight of most standard double-braced "heavy-duty" stuff like any of the DW hi-hat stands.  I've found that a lot of the vintage/ old-school stands or "cheap" stands (ie single-braced) function perfectly and are almost as "lightweight" as these aluminum stands

**Q: Being that the stands are made of aluminum.  when clamping to the alumimum to add cymbal and tom mounting extensions, does the aluminum deform?**
A: To answer your question, it is possible for clamping devices to indentation on aluminum if it is overtightened. Aluminum is a softer material than steel. Therefore you just have to find that happy medium, securing clamp, yet try not to put indentations on the aluminum, that would make sliding up and down the stand less fluid in movement.

**Q: How long is the hi hat stand and rod when you break it down(inches)?**
A: Base is 23” and the center rod 18”.

**Q: How tall is the yamaha cs-3 crosstown advanced lightweight cymbal stand when totally folded up?**
A: It’s 23 inches all folded up and ready to pack. I love these purchased the entire set after trying the cymbal stand.
