Review: Lemons are powerless in the grips of this juicer. - This thing is beautiful and functional, just like a kitchen gadget should be. We like to use lemons in cooking, but I got frustrated watching my husband squeeze lemons over his hand to try and catch the seeds--invariably some snuck past him. We had another old metal juicer, but it wasn't very strong and bent under the pressure. Not this guy. Big, beefy, and effective; even a pretty large, firm lemon doesn't stand a chance. For the money, this is one of the most satisfying kitchen utensils I've purchased, and I highly recommend it. (This might end up on some gift lists. It's that good.)
Review: Very Cool/Effective Lemon/Lime Squeezer - especially for the price! - This is perfect for my occasional need to have some small volume of lemon/lime juice for a cocktail. It works very well and quite easily, but not exactly like you might think it would (or, at least, not like I thought it would). You cut a lemon or lime in half and then put it cut-side down in the section with the holes with the cut side touching the holes - which is the opposite of what I initially thought when I looked at it, based on its shape) - then just squeeze. Ingenious design really. Feels sturdy and does a an excellent job of squeezing the juice out (one or two squeezes are typically quite enought). It looks like it would be dishwasher safe since it's metal, but I'm not certain how some dishwasher detergents (with lye) and high water/heater temperatures might affect the coating. But it's very easy to clean. I just hand wash/rinse mine off after each use (it's not like it'll have baked-on contaminants). If you want to use the dishwasher, I'd suggest the top shelf if your dishwasher has a heating element at the bottom - just in case...

This thing is beautiful and functional, just like a kitchen gadget should be. For the money, this is one of the most satisfying kitchen utensils I've purchased, and I highly recommend it. (This might end up on some gift lists. It's that good.)

This is perfect for my occasional need to have some small volume of lemon/lime juice for a cocktail. It works very well and quite easily, but not exactly like you might think it would (or, at least, not like I thought it would). You cut a lemon or lime in half and then put it cut-side down in the section with the holes with the cut side touching the holes - which is the opposite of what I initially thought when I looked at it, based on its shape) - then just squeeze. Ingenious design really. Feels sturdy and does a an excellent job of squeezing the juice out (one or two squeezes are typically quite enought). It looks like it would be dishwasher safe since it's metal, but I'm not certain how some dishwasher detergents (with lye) and high water/heater temperatures might affect the coating. I love watching Rachel Ray and she uses one similar to this, but her brand is a little expensive since we don't use this item often. I purchased this however, after watching her squeeze the life out of citrus in a quick second. This works sooo much better than my manual juicer & my automatic juicer. One squeeze and your done with a half of a lemon, lime or small orange. I also love that I don't get a whole lot of pulp along with the juice. It makes juicing a lot easier and less messy using this tool. I'm so glad I purchased this item. It appears to be sturdy and durable. I don't anticipate any issues with it for a long time. It's also a lot cheaper than ones sold at local box stores in my area. I love that it's metal and not plastic like many I've seen. I highly recommend it if your looking to squeeze the juice out of your citrus!
