Unlike Scots, I found it to be light weight and well separated so it did not cause the spreader to clog or to spread unevenly. The fact that it was light weight made using the hand-held spreader a breeze. I now know to prep the yard by pulling any tall weeds and mowing first. And now the yards are growing in weed free. I will say, though, that this is my third application of a weed killer. The first time I used the spray bottle (a royal pain to use, very few and very small droplets which are difficult to spread). Several weeks later, I used a Scotts turfbuilder product with weed killer and fertilizer using one of their broadcast spreader (also annoying to spread due to the product clumping, and it being difficult to see what I was putting down). I can't use that again for a month, but the weeds are back yet again. So, this time, I used the Spectracide in granule form. The grass seems to be growing in weed free. I wish that it came in bigger bags. I had to use of bag for the back yard and buy a 2nd bag for the front. I also wish that it could take out tall weeds and that it's ability to control the weeds lasted longer. I am happy to see that it does help with weeds without destroying the grass. It also smells pretty bad.
