What would be the application equation for a 90 foot x 50 foot pond, up to 7 feet deep at center gently sloping?** A: Hi Thomas, the manufacturer advertises that 8 ounces of mosquito bits treats at least 200 square feet of pond surface ... you have about 4500 square feet of surface. In my understanding that would mean your pond would require about UP TO 180 ounces or 11.25 pounds to treat. **Q: what is the shelf life of these? it would take me a few years to go through this 5 gallon bucket?** A: I purchased a five-gallon bucket in 2018. It still works, though I believe it is not quite as potent as when it was fresh. The BTI eats the larvae in the soil. Then use your sticky traps to catch the adults. Wash and repeat until they are gone. DO NOT put the mosquito bits in the pot themselves you will grow fungi and start to literally grow mushrooms, tall and white in color...super gross.
