1. First note to the seller AmazingJapan - the price in USA is $2K + tax (or no tax if purchased in Delawer) . It is available by mail and on-line.2. I have this preamp at home. Per my experience better sound comes when used with hi-end XLR interconnects. If RCA interconnects are used base is flat. My preamp is connected to Clearadiuo TT and the rest is also McIntosh staff.I'm giving it 4 stars because vacuum tube phono preamp by ProJect, which I also have, have better treble and base and is twice chipper.3. The one who really wants great phono-preamp should get vacuum tube phono-preamp.
