Review: This thing is GREAT - The icemaker in my fridge broke. I was going to fix it, but I decided on this machine. It was delivered during a power failure when I was operating some appliances on a generator. In catastrophe mode, this is the way to go because the generator will operate an icemaker and keep some food from spoiling. Anyway, this thing worked right out of the box and started making ice right away. I put the ice from this machine in my freezer section's ice storage, and dispense it through the chute on the door. We use a lot of ice, and yet the machine produces more than we consume and stops automatically. I don't find the noise too loud, and it is periodic and it produces sound primarily when cycling. That has a 100amp BMS on it... This is why people use 2x 100ah batteries. You get 200amp BMS when you parallel them. Where a single 200ah Battery still is limited to 100amp BMS.. **Q: Does it keep the ice or do I have to bag it and put it in the freezer?** A: You will need to bag and freeze. This ice maker doesn't keep it cold enough to be used as freezer. Works great and makes about 6-9 cubes every 10-12 minutes. How can I fix this issue?** A: We’ve owned 3 of these ice-makers in succession over 5 years. They run constantly 24/7 for 1 to 2 years, then something goes wrong with the automation sequence of operation, and they stop. If your unit is new, return it. It's a countertop ice maker, don't expect artisanal ice to come out of it! There isn't anything I can complain about this ice maker. Yep, it's a little loud but I would be shocked if it was whisper quiet, the ice it makes isn't as big as you would get out of a refrigerator and yes it's going to melt unless you put the cubes in a freezer, we make a batch of cubes and put them in a containter to be used later!
