Why is there no directions on how to apply these things, anywhere??** A: Peel away the backing from the top part of the T. Wrap the top of the T around your big toe so that the long stem part of the strap goes down the side of the foot and covers the injured joint where it bulges. You’ll have to adjust the tension of how much you want the brace pulling on the big toe but peel off the backing to the stem part of the strap as you stick it to the side of your foot. If the big toe is uncomfortable you can peel the stem back and reapply. **Q: Does this prevent or limit the big toe from bending? Looking for something to help immobilize my big toe joints.** A: These will restrict backward bending of the big toe. Immobilize is simply to extreme a term to use in connection with the function of this product since you can overcome their restraint if you really try. My doctor said it’s basically a sprained big toe. I’m used to just slapping on some type of ace bandage for a sprain on my body, but how in the world do you brace a big toe? Well, this little bandage is the solution! These are amazing! They held my toe in the correct place and would not allow it to move in the direction that would overextend it as it healed. The adhesive is very strong and can last all day even in athletic shoes. This strap works pretty good and is very comfortable. There are no instructions, so go look at some You Tube videos on taping a turf toe to get an idea of how to use it. The wrapping pieces are not big enough to use to buddy tape the big toe to the second toe, which would be by only complaint. Otherwise, they stick very well, are quick and easy to apply and work well - not as well as a full detailed taping, but adequate and more convenient. Admittedly I wasted a couple straps trying to put it on without instruction and it did nothing for myself until I saw the instructional video . This product has made the biggest difference in my foot/toe (I’ve suffered w/ very inflamed turf toe for 5 years) and I’ve had little to no pain since wearing them. I’m not sure why this product works so well when it just feels like tape on my foot and I feel no tension no real support, but it does work beautifully.
