I had some reservations about this thing when installing as it’s never really “secure” but so far (1 month) it hasn’t budged an a bit under normal driving on winter roads potholes and all. I did loctite all the threading. Would recommend purchasing a longer, flat backed screw head screw (not sure what it’s called) rather than the provided one that has more of a cone shaped head. My husband is a mechanic and went to put his front license plate on with this item we bought. The bolts that come with it are made of a very cheap material and cracked when trying to put the bolts on. Also, the black plate mount was cracked when it came to us. We didn't mind much because the plate was going to cover it and not matter as long as it didn't effect the plate from staying on. But now with the issues with the bolts. Now we're upset about all of it. For $25 dollars I thought I was getting good quality and something fit right for that car when we could have gone to advance auto parts to get a cheaper version to work just fine. Which is exactly what we had to do.
