However even though I made a 6 tablespoon drink prepared properly with the filter bag, I'm not a Kava fan after this experience. Its effects were milder than I expected and I found it sedating in a somewhat unpleasurable way. I definitely noticed that it made me more talkative and curbed anxiety, but it briefly numbed my enthusiasm and dampened my excitement for things that I normally enjoy. I felt okay and calm, but I don't think i'll have another glass. It isn't as good as I expected. With that being said I reccomend it to someone who struggles with any type of treatment resistant or severe anxiety disorder because I could definitely see it benefiting someone who suffers from anxiety.
