My dog (Australian Cattle Dog) was thrown from a moving vehicle when she was 8 weeks old and left in the middle of nowhere to die. Fortunately, someone found her and took her in. I adopted her the next day. She was very sick (worms, etc. when I got her), so riding in the car was a non-issue. When she got better, merely being in a vehicle caused her to tremble, drool, and ultimately vomit. The vehicle didn't even need to be running. As a result, she wasn't socialized as a puppy. I was sure Benadryl would calm her enough--it didn't. My vet recommended several prescription options, none of which worked. I finally found the name brand of this product, and it worked like a charm, but was very pricey. Since it is a natural product, she can safely stay on it for the rest of her life.
