It was like it had gotten little scratches on it cuz it had seen too much sunny. I really don’t know how to describe it but I didn’t like it. I ordered this cuz it just looked cool. Ordered a clear one too but I haven’t used that yet. So I installed it on my crusty helmet and poof….frickin looked brand new. Rode to Walmart and some old bird was trying to take my helmet. Not really but she did say she wanted it. Shoulda let her smell the helmet. She woulda changed her mind. This helmet has seen some miles. Tonight I rode home at sunset. It was getting a little darker but I won’t say hard to see mostly because it looks so damn cool. When you install it…be sure to righted to screws on the helmet tight enough. Fits just as tight as one that comes with shield. Looks great on helmet. With sun visor installed. It looks like a halo helmet. It is tinted.
