Haha! I had already set up a quarantine tank and after letting him acclimate, I released him into the tank. He’s very healthy looking and very active. My new betta fish arrived today (ahead of estimated arrival by a few days) and I was pleasantly surprised by how healthy and vibrant he looked on arrival. Lots of energy and lots of shine. He's already investigating his new tank and seems very happy. I wasn't sure how you'd even begin shipping a live fish. The aquarium bag he was held in was tightly tied off with a thick rubber band, then wrapped inside two tightly sealed bubble wrap envelopes, and and then further cushioned by sheets of styofoam, all inside a sturdy cardboard box. No leaks! There was information on the box noting that a live animal was inside, which my mailman let me know about when he put the package on my porch.
