This was put on a 86 Chevy dually with a 396, output is good and seems to work good so far.

Don’t waste your money
This alternator is advertised as a 200 amp unit with a very high output idle circuit. I bought this for my granddaughters car but wasn’t able to get anywhere near that kind of output to run Holley fuel injection, one electric engine cooling fan, one electric fuel pump, a ball effect distributor, Holley coil and spark controller. My brand new 1000 CCA battery went dead twice in three weeks and within three weeks the alternator stopped charging. Keep in mind that that my project is a little V6. I requested a refund and the vendor stated they have not had any problem with this alternator and if they sent another unit it would burn up too. Now I’m trying to figure out how to get my money back from these people. I tried to request a refund again and the message on Amazon said I didn’t have an eligible order for a refund. Run away from this one guys.

Bad alternator
I've had this alternator for a few months and it does not charge my battery I've put a tester on it and the alternator is bad but it's already too late to send it back or do anything about it

Pure GARBAGE! 200 amps more like 20 at most stock 98 amp has way more power. Don't even think about buying this piece of JUNK! You could get at a better alternator and the junk yard for 10 bucks. It gets so hot you can't touch it. I will be putting my stock unit back on. What a waste of time and money.
