I think that it is failing to manage the heat. I'm not even working the drive, just leaving it plugged-in. Strangely, if I plug it into a USB-A port, it stays connected. Maybe higher power (heat) available on USB-C ports?I think that I'm going to have to return this for a larger one. Too bad. I like the look of this. It's like a n iPod Mini. Came with a screw driver and a USB-C and USB 3.0- USB-C cables. Very nice product. I highly recommend it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Expensive but high quality *by C***E on Reviewed in the United States on November 14, 2018* I bought this for my spare SSD and yes there are cheaper options but through a bit of research I found this one had a higher quality circuit and the aluminum houseing feels very sturdy. there are no instructions top assemble this which was annoying when putting in the screw that holds down the SSD but it's easy enough to figure out.
