The soft plastic end caps are very grippy but the clamps don’t stop the bar twisting unless you get rid of the foam. I definitely wouldn’t use it without the rubber studs to act as extra security NB the included screws are a bit meagre - I swapped them out for 50mm ones to bite deeper into the doorframe.In use:The foam padding is a mixed bag: it twists about (and helps unscrew the bar if used from the ‘wrong’ side) but it can help the grip since the chrome bar is pretty slippery. I cut some of the foam off and mainly hold the bare bar.Overall:Solid bar that feels secure once it’s in place.
