When you turn it on, be sure to set a 10 min timer so you know when to turn it off. There.That is absolutely the only negative thing about this product. My daughter is entering puberty and has lots of very small pimple outbreaks, we've tried various soaps, cleansers, moisturizers and haven't found the right routine for her BUT we have discovered that this mask is really effective for her outbreaks. We use this with sulfur moisturizer for spot treatments with FANTASTIC results. I have used it and it's really kinda cool. It doesn't drastically do anything for me but it definitely helps when I have an outbreak. The refillable activator was just a way to get money and I wasn't into buying that over and over when I had found a working solution for outbreaks. SUPER glad this is out on the market. Works perfectly. It’s an activator with unlimited uses and no time cap. This comes in especially handy since blue/red light therapy from a store bought mask (let’s be honest) can’t compare to the light emitted from a legitimate and licensed dermatological device. This is the truth told by dermatologists everywhere. For this reason, it’s really necessary to have the treatment last for at least 15-20 minutes and not a measly 10 minutes, honestly. That’s where this miracle product comes in. Not only does it keep that 30-trial nonsense at bay, it extends the treatment time to efficient lengths.
