Responsiveness: - The mesh heads are definitely responsive and feel very close to an acoustic set - The cymbals are good. I still find myself fiddling with the sensitivity to get them where I want them. They're about as close as they can get. There is no bell for a sharp staccato note here and there. Hitting with the tip of your stick on the top of the cymbal sounds the same as giving it a wallop with the side of your stick. This may be my biggest gripe. But also totally expected and accounted for. Is it worth the money? Absolutely. [UPDATE:] No complaints after a year of use. Durability is great. All my muscle memory derives from years of acoustic kits - meaning I've been wailing on this thing far harder than necessary for the last year. Despite that, the wear and tear is minimal. Just some minor cosmetic blemishes on the cymbal pads from thousands of strikes.
