## Questions & Answers

**Q: is this good for music? im tired of sloppy home theater subwoofers that muddy up music. is the bass audible and tight?**
A: I had the same problem and got a REL and it's perfectly tuned for music.  Except, you should get one from their Ti line, not the HT line.  And make sure you use the speaker level inputs.  I have a REL T7i and it's the most musical sub I've ever heard, and I've owned Velodyne and Hsu too.

**Q: Can you take the feet off? If so, what is the unit height without the feet?**
A: The feet can be removed from the HT/1003, and it comes supplied with both the standard square feet and rubber replacement feet. With the feet removed, the cabinet is 12.5 inches tall.

**Q: Does this power off or sleep by itself when not in use ...wondering about electricity usage ?**
A: The HT/1003 does have a standby circuit, which can be set so that the subwoofer enters a lower power draw state after approximately 30 minutes of no signal reaching it's input circuit. That being said, it is also designed to draw very little power (approximately 10 watts) when idle, or fully powered on but not producing any signal.

**Q: Do you need to install a speaker wire for this sub or does it connect wireless to the receiver?**
A: The HT/1003 subwoofer can be connected to outputs on your preamp or receiver using either a single or pair of RCA cables. If you wish to send signal wirelessly to the HT/1003, then it will be necessary to purchase the HT-Air wireless system.
