Be sure the little ball knob is facing down towards the strap. There is a little space for the ball knob to fit in. Then insert one end of the metal rod (insert the end farthest from the ball-knob) into the end of the Fitbit. It slipped in fairly easily. Use the little metal knob that sticks down to maneuver and push it into the Fitbit body. It should snap into place pretty easily. Repeat with the other end of the strap into the other end of the Fitbit. Just be sure the strap is not twisted.
