It works via WiFi and you only need a power source. The pan and tilt works nice. Talking through the camera is not great due to echo but otherwise the audio is good. The night vision camera is a great addition as well. The camera does not tilt down very low. But the fixed for that is to mount the camera upside down and the tilt feature will go much further. This will allow you to get a better view of a downward angle. Not a bad package for the price. Review: Great value and useful features without subscriptions - We got this to keep an eye on my elderly mother and it has been great. She loves having it knowing that if anything were to happen we could see it and also talk to her. It was pretty easy to set up and I was able to share it with my sister. There are no onerous subscription fees and the camera does a great job of tracking people movement and triggering on people moving. We even have alerts set up if movements happen between certain time periods. If this had been more expensive, I wouldn't have given it 5 stars because it's not perfect but for the price, it's amazing. There are no hubs to buy, no subscriptions and it has a lot of features including the night vision and mapping off what areas of movement trigger alerts. All in all, one of the best finds. The camera moving when it senses movement is essential. The customer service/tech is some of the worst I have ever experienced, ever. They don't have any tech skills they just read off a script. One in 10 can answer basic questions. The insist that you answer like 10 different questions before you can ask your question/address your concern. They make everything much harder then necessary for no reason.
