The scenes from hell are amazing looking now and the shadow details make this movie look even better. I am lucky enough to have this paired with a OLED in a dark room. Thanks to this being on disc I do not have to deal with compression issues that come thanks to streaming, both visual and audio. All this combined makes for an amazing movie experience and leaving nothing wanting. I want to give a quick word on the end for the audio, encoded with Dolby Atmos. This is not because I find it lacking but because I also am lucking enough to be able to watch it with a full 11 speaker Dolby Atmos/DTS:X audio setup. While the new audio encoding on the disc makes a difference from the stand Bulray. It is still shows that this was made before Atmos was really an idea for theatrical/home release. Again they did a very did a very good job but what it it lacks is not the fault of the disc but of the time. For those that have not seen the movie, absolutely worth a watch/purchase. If you’re going to watch Constantine, don’t be cheap. Get the highest quality version you can, because this one really pops. I hadn’t watched this movie in about 20 years, and revisiting it in 4K was a great experience. The colors look fantastic, the atmosphere is strong, and the visuals benefit a lot from the upgrade. The story still holds up, the acting is solid, and it’s very rewatchable. This is right up my alley, and if you’re a movie collector or someone who appreciates good transfers, the 4K version is absolutely worth it. Every time you watch it, you’ll notice new details.
