The first pair tore at the heel (between padding and leather) and the second came apart at the side (surely a design flaw?). I decided to give Timberland a go. Having read mixed reviews was somewhat confused but figured desertcart have a great returns policy and I could always return if not for me. Anyhow, sorry about the background, here's my review. Initial package- nicely boxed and feels like a premium brand should. Overall design is perfect, these are the definitive outdoor booy. Regarding construction, stitching is perfect. Leather, beautifully soft but strangely tough at the same time. Lining is perfect and has a reassuring firm but comfortable quality. Soles are rugged (with a capital R!) and feel like they will last (of course time will tell on this aspect- I will update this review!). Colour is sublime. Honestly, I realise this is s gushing summary but really have exceeded all expectations. If they last more than a year - Timberland will be my go to brand! Now in my case I ordered this for Christmas and being really cautious about delivery date I ordered with plenty of time in advance: November 24th. Supposed to be with me on November 26th. On Dec 7th I checked the delivery status and said "on its way". The delivery provider was Hermes. Now, if you ever come accross this company BE EXTREMELLY CAREFUL. Lets just say I've never seen such horrible reviews on any company before. So pretty much just suppose your order is never going to come. These guys wont accept calls from the buyer directly so my seller was Amazon EU. WHAT A GREAT SERVICE. The contact us page with the chat was very useful, easy and fast. They sent me the same product on express delivery (instead of Standard, as I had it requested initially) for no extra cost. I wasnt charged twice and I had the product by Monday 9th dec. Clean process, no more mistakes. I would completely recommend the product (they look great), recommend the seller but be really careful with the delivery provider. These guys can just make your opinion on the whole chain be a 1 star.
