Review: Great Back-Up Defensive Knife - Just got my new neck-knife karambit in today and I have to say that it is well worth the money. My knife came moderately sharp on the blade, but with a very sharp point so it will more than do it’s job. The sheath has a very secure grip and so it can be worn without worry about it coming loose. It’s a great back-up defensive neck-knife. The hole in the handle assures that you keep your grip even in chaotic situations. However, I do have large sized hands and they are almost to big for the grip. If you buy gloves bigger than size large I would looked for an alternative or make sure the length of your palm matches the knife handle length. Great knife. Great value. Could even be used for jogging or hiking. Review: Decent smaller karambit! - Not bad at all. I collect knives in general but didnt own a karmabit so I didnt want to break the bank on one just in case I wasnt a fan. I was skeptical because shrade is know in the knife community as garbage. It's a decent budget steel 9cr18mov. There are some nit pits the handle could be a bit longer I have medium hands and my pinking get awfully close to the sharpened edge. Also kind of thick behind the edge but like I said just nitpicking. (That's what knife guys do). Came with paracord which I wrapped to give it a little more girth and a ok sheath and beaded chain for neck carry. I prefer to belt carry as this is obviously a self defense knife. Overall i like it. ## Features - DIMENSIONS: Blade length: 3in (7.5cm), overall length: 6.3in (16.1cm), weight: 2.3oz - MATERIALS: The blade is made of 9Cr18MoV Stainless steel with high hardness and corrosion resistance - SECURE: The 3.3 inch grey coated 9CrMoV steel handle offers a comfortable grip with safety ring for stability - BE PREPARED: This knife includes a thermoplastic belt sheath with for convenient carry - INCLUDES: Knife, thermoplastic belt sheath - WARRANTY: This knife includes a limited lifetime warranty. You'll start to recognize their naming pattern after a while: 8Cr13MoV, Y3Cr13, 3Cr13Mo, 4Cr13, 1Cr17Ni2, 7Cr17, 8Cr17, 9Cr18, 11Cr17, Y11Cr17, 9Cr18Mo, etc, all Chinese. **Q: would this be a good knife to run with?** A: A karambit style knife is a useful tool but only if you can draw it from a secured sheath correctly and away from your body— quickly. I carry this one concealed in appendix style (abdomen carry) but I also got a belt attachment to secure the sheath and the knife to my waistband. The sheath it comes in is meant for around the neck carry which isn’t necessarily the fastest draw, particularly with the variants of clothing or otherwise in the way— and especially because the knife is locked into that sheath fairly tightly. (A good thing, but restrictive for neck carry.) Just my two cents. As always, train like you fight. With any knife or other weapon you might carry in similar circumstances. -female firearms & tactics instructor and concealed carry practitioner. **Q: What is the blade length of this karambit? Is it shorter and less visible than marketed karambit?** A: Blade itself is about 2 1/2 in. This knife fits so well in my hand I bought two. I love the skeleton handle. Also does come with a black cord for a handle wrap. No belt loop on hard plastic case but due to side holes all the way around, can be mounted on belt sideways.... This is by far my favorite self defense carry. Schrade sch111 came well packaged and even slightly oiled. These guys are great !!!! **Q: Would this be a good gift for people who like sharp objects?** A: Yes, provided they have small or average sized hands. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Back-Up Defensive Knife *by N***A on July 5, 2019* Just got my new neck-knife karambit in today and I have to say that it is well worth the money. I collect knives in general but didnt own a karmabit so I didnt want to break the bank on one just in case I wasnt a fan. I was skeptical because shrade is know in the knife community as garbage. Is it a fantastic backup and just plain enjoyable to own? Hell yes! Sheath is adequate, Blade is sharp and it feels good in the hand. There’s a lot to like about this little knife and I’m glad I bought it- BUT a couple small drawbacks. I have large hands so I put my ring finger in the loop- if I do my pinky my hand wants to slide up to the blade. Though most could put their pinky its more than ergonomical with your ring finger in there. The only other gripe I have is I don’t love the tip. The back edge is large and makes for an awkward tip and could create issues down the line after heavy sharpening. I’m going to just put a small false edge on the backside of the tip section- this will give it a better needle tip and crate less problems with more sharpening in the future. Buy the knife, don’t buy the knife- prestige worldwide. ## Frequently Bought Together - Schrade Delta Class Boneyard CLR Fixed Blade with 9Cr18MoV Grey Ti Coat for Outdoor Survival - Cold Steel Karambit Trainer Black, 4.0" --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pe/products/68444315-schrade-delta-class-boneyard-clr-fixed-blade-with-9cr18mov-grey](https://www.desertcart.pe/products/68444315-schrade-delta-class-boneyard-clr-fixed-blade-with-9cr18mov-grey) --- *Product available on Desertcart Peru* *Store origin: PE* *Last updated: 2026-10-11*
