Review: Fantastic multi-use - Love this soap! I use it for everything from body wash, dishes, hand soap (I diluted it and use a foam soap dispenser), and laundry soap (mixed with a gallon of hot water, 1 cup baking soda, 1 cup washing soda, and 2 cups bronners). Review: Love It - Where have you been all my life?? I'm kicking myself now because I have resisted buying this soap for years. Why? Because of the price. $58 for a gallon? All I could see is that a gallon of liquid soap at Sam's club was around $12? Yes, it's full of chemicals and bad stuff......but can I afford to pay 5x the price of regular soap for less chemicals in my life? Sure, Dr. Bonner's is probably more concentrated and will last longer, but 5x longer? Well, I finally did it and now I can't believe how ridiculous I've been. This stuff is AMAZING. And I'm sure a gallon is going to last forever. One thing I did was to get all foaming soap dispensers for every sink in the house. (They have nice quality glass ones now that look beautiful.) So now I just have to fill them about 1/6 of the way with soap and the rest of the way with water and have this amazing foam that works beautifully. I like a LOT of suds, whether I'm washing my hands or dishes or whatever. I don't feel like things are getting clean unless I see and feel and lot of suds!! This foams up so beautifully and even though it's mixed with so much water I've been amazed to find that as I rub my hands the foam continues to lather even more. The next thing I noticed was how hydrated my skin is now. I wash my hands probably 20x a day. Usually, this is the time of year my hands start getting dry & I've even had those horrible painful cracks around my fingernails. Before I had to use tons of lotion all day and if I didn't use it frequently & consistently, the splits would start. This soap leaves my skin so soft it feels like I used lotion. I was really surprised about that. I thought it would be a lot harsher for some reason. I've also made a body wash & face wash from this soap, which I'm working on tweaking just a little to make just right. Eventually, I will work on using it for dishes & other cleaners. I have found this soap is just a little nicer with a very small amount of oil added to it. I used it for a week or so without adding oil & it was still great.....just seems to be a small improvement for me with the oil. I've added fractionated coconut oil and almond oil, but I'll probably stick to a cheaper EVOO for the regular hand soap and save the more expensive oils for other stuff. So in my foaming dispensers I put 1/6 Dr. Bonner's, a tablespoon of oil and whatever essential oils I want & then fill with water. The result is not only a great soap, but it lasts for so long....used this for a week and the dispensers at my kitchen and bathroom sink have only gone down in level of about 1/2 inch. At this rate, a dispenser full could easy last longer than a month, maybe closer to two. At that rate, yes, this will last 5x longer than regular hand soap....maybe even longer! Of course, I don't have to tell people that you can add your essential oils to this. I have loved finding more ways to get more essential oils in & this is a very easy way. I'm sold for life!!

**Q: Can you use it as a boby soap**
A: I use it as a body soap, so I suppose you could use it on your "boby" You might want to ask for consent first.

**Q: Ingredient says it contains " potassium hydroxide" which is classified in european union as "toxic" and unsafe to use in cosmetics.whats the amount?**
A: Alone, potassium hydroxide (KOH) and sodium hydroxide (NaOH) are both dangerous. During soap making, they're combined with a fat and water. One is used depending on if the result will be a liquid soap (KOH) or solid (NaOH). Soap can't be made without saponification which is kicked off through the chemical reaction with water and fat plus either KOH or NaOH. You'd just have a mucky, gooey mess that is ineffective. Saponification is basically the process where the ester bond of a triglyceride is cleaved. It leaves behind soap (fatty acids) and glycerol.

**Q: what scent should i get if i have never used this product before?**
A: Other than unscented, Almond is probably the "friendliest".  It's a warm and pleasant scent.  All of the varieties are great but they are definitely not subtle.  The peppermint can really be intense if you're not used to it.  Keep in mind this is real soap, made the real way.  If you get it in your eyes it's going to sting!  If you get the peppermint in your eyes it's going to sting a LOT.

**Q: I see lots of notes about moisturizing, but nothing about actually cleansing. Is this anti-bacterial?**
A: You dont need an antibacterial soap to cleanse your body. Anti bacterial soaps actually cause more harm than good because they wipe out all bacteria (good and bad) and disrupt gut flora which causes a host of other issues. This soap is wonderful at cleansing with natural oils and not any of the nasty additives.
