Product Description          Established in 1929 as a dye and ink manufacturer, OHTO has since become one of Japan’s most cutting edge pen brands with a series of firsts to its name, such as manufacturing the world’s first chrome-balled ballpoint pen (which incidentally was Japan’s first ballpoint pen), the world’s first water-based ballpoint pen and the first pen in the world to possess a rubber grip. OHTO’s latest offering for 2012 is the Dude, an unconventional name for a rather unconventional pen. The combination of its unique hexagonal design in gleaming black laquer and the chrome-plated clip gives this pen a very classic look. The comfortable streamlined grip and ceramic tip gives the user an ultra smooth, pleasurable and long-lasting writing experience. The pen is fitted with one rollerball refill in black ink for instant writing out of the box. Should your ink eventually run out, this pen can be replenished with OHTO’s ceramic 0.5mm fine tip rollerball refills available in black or blue ink. The Dude is packaged in a stylish OHTO-branded presentation gift box with a white inlay and a magnetic seal mechanism. Nice weighty pen; only one thing, will not accept "euro format" refills, you have to source Ohto refills

I purchased a couple of these as presents for people for Christmas. However the price I paid was a lot less on Amazon than the current one.The pen you received is heavy,well made and looks much more expensive than it actually is. It comes with the customary OHTO cardboard box and finally it writes really,really smoothly. Most impressed.I'd recommend this pen to anybody.

Most important: The rond place you hold to write is too short by 1 to 1.5 cm. I have to use the silver ring position.Otherwise:* writes nicely* looks not bad at all but it's no Lamy* is mailed from Japan so there might be customs duties* missing "Packaged in OHTO-branded gift box"
