## Description

Hygroscopic filaments like Nylon, PETG, TPU, & polycarbonate rapidly absorb moisture from the surrounding environment causing them to lose their mechanical properties and printability. Wet filament leads to constantly jammed and ruined prints. Even if you manage to get a print to successfully finish, it’s going to be a stringy, ugly nightmare with a fraction of the strength. Isolate them in a filament dry box, storage container or resealable bag with Slice Engineering’s Filament Drying Desiccant and never worry about wet filament again! Our desiccant, which is made from activated alumina, is 10X more powerful than silica gel, is able to lower your humidity down to almost 0%, and creates enough of a relative humidity (Rh) gradient to absorb both surface moisture and water particles captured inside the filament! BUT - be sure you read the directions and remove the plastic cap by turning it CLOCKWISE - otherwise you'll never get all the little desiccant balls up off your floor!

I've been using these for a while now in my Bambu AMS. They keep the humidity below 10%. I recharge them every time I replace a spool. I recharge them in my air fryer at 400F for 2 hours. I verified that they were recharging by weighing the canisters before and after recharging. BUT - be sure you read the directions and remove the plastic cap by turning it CLOCKWISE - otherwise you'll never get all the little desiccant balls up off your floor!

The stuff is working very very well. I added some cartridges to the AMS above my printer and filled them with this descant. I watched as the humidity dropped from the 40% to 50% range down to 10%. I’m very happy with this. I read somewhere that this type of desiccant was safer to have around than the regular color changing stuff. I don’t know if that’s true or propaganda. You know how “big dessicant” can be.
