The built in rechargeable battery lasts at least 24 hours for use anywhere.It would be nice to see an IOS compatible upgrade and wifi upgrade but at this price the product is worth the cost. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very, very educational -- possibly life changing *by A***W on September 5, 2019* My original intention was to buy a wifi connected device that I could monitor on my phone or whatever. I bought this JUST because of price. It's awesome. There is NO NEED for wifi monitoring. Basically you use this for a week and then you know what to do.I used this at my house, my parents house and a friend's house and all of us have changed our behavior and ventilation.It's pretty disturbing how high the CO2 levels were getting, but with small changes things can be completely fixed. To give an example, I often left a window open a small amount in our bedroom -- I didn't know until I got this that it wasn't working. But then... just by opening the window a few inches more, it worked great.We have a gas stove/oven I guess I should have known, but turning on a burner, our rates would go up... put in some cross ventilation and it's fine.... But you don't really know until you see it. Certainly you can't convince others until you leave this with them for a few days, and then it's like "WOW!"I've taken it on a plane. In the car (it's stopped me from using the the recirculating feature on the AC).... It's totally worth it and I'm glad I got this one.They have good customer service when I got confused about something (basically it got miscalibrated when I took it on a plane flight... but you set it outside and recalibrate it and then it's fine).I can't say whether the numbers I'm getting are perfectly accurate, however, after using mine, my parents bought one and they are basically consistent with each other. More importantly, the TREND makes sense... And that's more than enough to make better decisions.It allows you to datalog your readings and export them to a spreadsheet. It's not a pretty interface, it looks like it's 20 years old, but it works perfectly and immediately.... The battery works long enough.... I think it's too bright in my bedroom, but I just put it upside down when I was using it (the openings are on the back).Once you've used this for a couple weeks, you don't definitely need to keep it on all the time.... or maybe ever even use it again for that location. Maybe with changing seasons? I'm not going to sell it, but I'm not using it anymore in our house.Travel... I've taken it into hotel rooms, and that's been helpful. Some are fine, some you really need to keep the bathroom fan on and crack a window.I'll keep loaning it to friends. I'm REALLY glad I bought it even though I don't use it in my house now because I know what's going to happen. We were shocked at how often we were in unhealthy territory (and then pleasantly surprised at how we could fix it!)I don't have any complaints about this and I feel it was well worth the money just in terms of IQ points if the studies on how bad CO2 is for you are to be believed. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Expensive toy *by N***I on February 26, 2019* I was fairly happy with the accuracy, measuring about 420 or so outside (in a city), but when it rained it measured as low as 260. I think that it's not super accurate when humidity is very high.The battery lasts pretty much all day. The display always defaults to Celsius, which gets annoying.
