I originally bought them for food preparation, but I find myself reaching for them all the time for odd jobs around the house. They're obviously not at all heavy-duty work gloves, but for light household tasks they're surprisingly durable. I haven't had any split on me, provided I'm not trying to do anything too demanding. They go on easily, fit comfortably despite being one size, and I still have enough dexterity to do fiddly jobs. The box lasts a good while, which makes them decent value for money. If you're after a convenient pair of disposable gloves for everyday use around the home, I'd definitely recommend these.

**Q: Are these gloves rigid or stretchy?**
A: They are not stretchy. They are similar to petrol station gloves.

**Q: Can I handle hot takeaway plastic tubs after loading them with food.**
A: I don’t think these would be suitable for HOT object handling. They are not especially thick. Best I can describe them as they are similar to the disposable gloves you find on garage forecourts to use before pumping petrol or similar to the free ones you get in hair dye packs. They are great for jobs around the house, dealing with kitty litter or taking the bins out for example but nothing more robust.

**Q: Would these be suitable for use when dying hair? They look very thin... thank you**
A: I've just compared both types of glove and the spontex one are a little wider than the hair dye one but the finger length is about the same. Both are a bit big for a woman's hand but they stay on just the same. From Mrs FM.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ideal, cheap gloves for household tasks

I've been using these for a few years. I strongly dislike stretchy, thick rubber gloves, which are overkill for everday household chores. These are spacious without being annoying, and robust enough to protect you from cleaning fluids, paint etc. They're easy to put on and take off, and can be reused if necessary. At less than 6p per glove, don't expect luxury, but for decorating, cleaning the bathroom or light car/bike maintenance their only downside is the environmental cost that comes with disposability.
