The adhesive was old and wouldn’t come off of backing even with a blow dryer heating it up. I tried carefully peeling it up and it was permanently stuck to both sides of plastic and seemed rotten. The battery had absolutely no charge to it, usually you can try after attaching battery to make sure battery is a good one by plugging in and your MacBook will turn on, not with this battery. I did put my other old battery back in and it works, so not sure about this one yet . Amazon says charge it then see ? This is my 2nd try with batteries from Amazon and may be my last...... still waiting for refund on last defective one different brand...... FYI : BY THE WAY DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING IN THE PHOTO __ Screwdrivers not included!!!!!!!

The battery works just fine.However, I have to say that the size is a tiny bigger than the original (at least for a Macbook 12'' Retina early 2015). That affects the trackpad (too tight, less space for the click, not a problem if you use the tap). And, more noticeable, the weight will increase. Your Macbook will feel heavier: for me, not a big deal, actually I like to sense my Macbook more firm and solid, but this is something you must know.
