A: no, you need there software and it's only one windows.

**Q: I nowhere see in the description if consumables are needed. But I see consumables listed and sold on company's website. Are consumables required?**
A: Hi, the slides are not needed to get the system running, I get 3 months supply usually forget how much they are but are quick at delivering. Withought the slides the system will record temperature  oxygen and light. With the slides it records  the chemistry ammonia nh4 etc.  you can get away with the slides if you do regular water changes.  That's for a tropical, if your running a marine, with expensive fish and coral, then I would keep getting the slides as a marine setup is more sensitive than a tropical I would imagine.
