I would describe them as a good classroom instrument because they are of a quality that young students can experience learning to play, while I am able to relax and let them strum away to their hearts content. The instruments, only a week old in my classroom, are still requiring quite a bit of tuning. I have been playing one I bought at a local music store (for $10 more than Amazon's price), and after 3 weeks of play it is finally holding its tune fairly well. I chose this product because of it's price (fairly easy to replace if disaster occurs), and the colors appeal to the kids, too. The quality has been good for most of the instruments, but a few have some scuffs or discolorations on the body.
